It was great to join a fantastic line up of expert speakers in the U.K. on the 8th of October.
As international menopause awareness day approaches on the 18th of October, menopause has become a hot topic this month as a result of increased media attention.
Information and education transforms women’s experience of this phase of life. Conferences like this help disseminate information.
Menopause in the workplace is a subject gaining a lot more traction in the U.K. Many speakers outlined the increasing calls for more support in this area.
Brands collaborating around menopause
Partnering with progressive and responsible brands to lead a positive menopause revolution is the brainchild of GEN-M. They have started a campaign encouraging brands and organisations to unite to demand real change for “the change” Check out gen-m.com.
Women’s voices in menopause
Another theme arising from the conference was the need for women to take responsibility in bringing about change.
We have remained silent for too long. Women need to understand change cannot occur without women supporting individuals and groups advocating for change.
Women today are educated, and have voices unlike previous generations.
This generation of women need to be encouraged to use their voice in order to support other women.
